WYBOT S2 High-end Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner review

A current U.S. cordless submerged cleaner with selectable floor, wall and waterline routines and a manufacturer-stated 3,229-square-foot area figure. The linked manual documents an auxiliary cotton-foam filter, but not a numeric pool-length limit or a step-depth threshold.

A useful fit for

Compare this exact current U.S. WYBOT S2 when the pool needs cordless submerged floor, wall or waterline cleaning and a selectable mode routine. Its stated 3,229-ft² area figure is not a pool-length rating; the manual's auxiliary cotton foam is not treated as a confirmed ultra-fine kit.

The main tradeoff

The S2 page and manual describe several separately selected modes rather than proving every surface is cleaned in every run. Steps are mentioned without a minimum depth, the app uses Bluetooth and must be configured out of water, and the manual calls its cotton foam a fine-particle auxiliary filter rather than an ultra-fine kit.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Do you need floor, wall or waterline work in separate selectable routines?

The exact S2/WY210C manual lists a standard full-pool routine and separate floor-only, wall-only and waterline-only routines, plus combination and floor-duration settings. These modes are selectable alternatives; the manual does not say every zone is cleaned in one simultaneous cycle.

Do you need an actual pool-length limit rather than a pool-area statement?

The product page reports up to 3,229 ft² and the linked manual lists 300 m². Neither source gives a maximum pool length in feet, so the area value cannot answer a numeric-length requirement.

Explore this need in the finder →
Is the cotton-foam element an acceptable filter routine if it is not documented as an ultra-fine kit?

The manual identifies a 180-μm basket and auxiliary cotton foam for fine particles, but does not state a micron grade for that foam or call it an ultra-fine kit. Confirm the classification with WYBOT if it is essential.

What this assessment covers

This is a document-based assessment of the current U.S. WYBOT S2 High-end Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner, not a hands-on review. The exact Shopify record identifies product ID 9016050843925, SKU WYUS-S2-A and barcode 06975843741875. I treat that listing as the product under discussion and do not merge it with WYBOT's S2 Solar dock model or S2 Solar Vision.

Read the area number as area, not pool length

The current page states up to 3,229 square feet of pool coverage and up to 210 minutes of runtime. The official linked manual gives 300 square metres, a 7,800 mAh lithium-ion battery, a 3.5-hour runtime and a three-hour charge. The runtime figures are consistent once units are converted, but they remain manufacturer specifications rather than results measured for this review. WYBOT does not give this exact S2 a maximum pool length in feet. A large-area rating cannot be translated into “fits a 40-foot pool” without shape, depth and route information, so ask WYBOT to confirm the exact pool and the exact WYUS-S2-A configuration if a length ceiling matters.

Coverage is selectable, not a promise of every mode at once

The S2 page describes floors, walls, steps and waterlines. The linked manual is more useful for understanding the routine: its mode table identifies a standard full-pool setting for wall, floor and waterline, then separate floor-only, wall-only, waterline-only, wall-then-floor, Eco-floor and Turbo-floor choices. In other words, the product's listed coverage does not mean the machine cleans all those surfaces on every mode or in the same amount of time. A wall-then-floor routine, a floor-only setting and a waterline-focused run answer different maintenance needs.

The page also advertises steps, and the manual FAQ says the robot can climb steps, drains and shallow water. Neither source gives a minimum step or ledge depth, however. The finder therefore does not treat the broad step wording as proof of support for a step at least 13 inches deep. Ask WYBOT about the actual step profile and water level if that is the deciding feature. The S2 is a submerged cleaner; it should not be confused with WYBOT's F1, a separate floating surface skimmer.

App settings and the pickup routine

WYBOT lists six cleaning paths, seven app modes, three manual mode choices and a cycle timer that can be set up to four times in seven days. Its self-parking feature is meant to make the robot easier to retrieve after a run; the manual includes a hook and instructions for pulling the cleaner out. The app offers configuration, but the manual says setup and mode selection use Bluetooth while the machine is out of the pool. That is not evidence of live underwater steering. Plan to choose the routine before putting the robot in and to follow the manual's retrieval and charging instructions afterward.

The manufacturer page advertises a three-hour charge, and the manual says to dry the charging port before connecting its original charger. Those details make charging and storage part of the ownership routine: allow the appropriate dry space and time rather than treating “cordless” as “no setup.” The current page also advertises a two-year warranty; review its written conditions for the seller and exact retail SKU.

Two filter stages, with a fine-print distinction

The manual labels the basket 180 microns and separately describes cotton foam as an auxiliary filter to catch finer particles. It recommends the foam for floor cleaning and cautions against installing it in heavily dusty water because it may affect operation. The illustrated manual packing list shows two filters, but the exact product materials do not state a micron rating for the foam or explicitly call it an “ultra-fine filter kit.” That is why this assessment does not count the S2 as a confirmed match when the finder requirement is specifically an included ultra-fine kit. If you are comparing filtration, ask WYBOT to identify the included element and its recommended modes in writing. Do not infer an extra replacement kit from the manual's two-filter illustration.

Manual bridge and exact package checks

The official WYBOT download index links an S2 user manual whose cover says “WYBOT S2 (WY210C)” and carries a 2024 copyright. That is an S2-family bridge and it supports the routines summarized above, but the document does not print the present retail suffix WYUS-S2-A. Verify that the seller's unit and current instructions correspond to this exact SKU before relying on any manual-dependent limit or in-box item. The manual's packing illustration lists a device, two filters, floating parts, charger, hook, user manual and quick guide; it is useful evidence, not a guarantee that a current retail carton has not changed.

Bottom line

The WYBOT S2 is worth comparing for a cordless submerged routine that can be tailored between floor, wall and waterline work. Its 210-minute / 3.5-hour maker runtime, 3,229-ft² area figure, app timer and 180-μm basket offer concrete comparison points, but none proves a pool-length maximum or a specific cleaning outcome. Treat step depth, app reach, cotton-foam filtration language, exact manual applicability and current box contents as questions to settle for WYUS-S2-A. The review uses no test, personal-use report, customer quotation, current price, stock status or independent performance result.
