WYBOT B1 Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner review

A cordless OS600 pool cleaner with manufacturer-listed floor, wall and waterline modes and a manual-reported step-obstacle capability. The current page and linked B1 manual disagree on maximum pool area and water depth; neither gives a maximum pool length in feet.

A useful fit for

A research-based candidate when cordless floor, wall or waterline modes match the cleaning task and the owner verifies pool type, depth and exact model instructions. The B1 is app-configurable between runs, not documented for live underwater steering.

The main tradeoff

The product page and linked OS600 manual give different pool-area and maximum-depth figures. The model has no documented maximum pool length or minimum step depth, and the exact page/manual evidence does not establish the requested separate included ultra-fine filter kit.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Which B1 settings cover the pool floor and waterline?

The B1 manual lists standard full-pool, floor-only, wall-only, wall-then-floor and waterline-only settings. Its full-pool description names wall, floor and waterline cleaning for complex pool shapes. These are manufacturer mode descriptions, not evidence of measured coverage or a guaranteed one-cycle result in every pool.

Does the B1 meet the finder’s 13-inch step or ledge requirement?

The manual FAQ says the machine can climb steps, drains and shallow-water areas, but it does not give a minimum step depth or a qualifying depth range. The exact 13-inch requirement therefore remains unsupported; confirm the actual ledge and instructions with WYBOT.

Explore this need in the finder →
Can the B1 be matched to a pool entered at 30 feet long?

No maximum pool length in feet is stated for this B1. Its product page gives an area figure and the linked manual gives a different area cap; neither establishes length, so the B1 does not pass a numeric pool-length selection.

Explore this need in the finder →
Can the phone control the B1 while it is submerged?

The B1 manual specifies Bluetooth and says the phone connects only when the robot is out of the water; it also says to change cleaning modes out of the pool. This supports configuration between runs, not live underwater steering.

Explore this need in the finder →
Does the exact B1 carton include a separate ultra-fine filter kit?

The product page lists one 180-micron large cartridge. The manual refers to the basket and an ultra-fine filter for cleaning and shows ‘Filters x 1’ in its packing list, but it does not identify a separate extra kit or kit part number. The requested separate included kit is not established for these exact SKUs.

What this source-based assessment covers

This is a document-based assessment, not a hands-on test. WYBOT’s U.S. product page identifies the cordless B1 as model OS600 and lists three finish SKUs: Black WYUS-B1-KG1, Gray WYUS-B1-AG3 and Multicolor WYUS-B1-KG3. The feature table is shared on that product page; no functional difference is stated for the finishes. The image shown here is the page-linked Black SKU only, not a picture of the Gray or Multicolor versions, a package-inventory claim or a cleaning demonstration.

Check the pool-size and depth figures before relying on them

The current U.S. listing says up to 1,150 square feet and 120 minutes. The linked B1 manual instead says “Max 100m²” (about 1,076 square feet) and gives a 100-to-120-minute runtime range. Those area figures disagree, so confirm fit if your pool is near either ceiling. Neither source gives a maximum pool length in feet; area cannot be converted into a dependable length limit, and this assessment does not match a numeric length requirement.

The product page lists a maximum depth of 8.2 feet; the manual says 3 metres and gives a 40-centimetre minimum. It also advises keeping the water at least 40 centimetres above the unit for best cleaning, so verify the exact depth limit. The product page lists above- and in-ground pools with flat floors under a 15-degree slope; the manual’s compatibility answer specifically describes in-ground shapes. It names PVC, gunite and tile, but warns that slippery tile, mosaic and acrylic may not work well. Confirm above-ground construction and surface fit if those matter.

Coverage is a set of selectable modes, not one guaranteed pass

The manual lists standard full-pool, floor-only, wall-only, wall-then-floor and waterline-only choices. Its full-pool mode is described as wall, floor and waterline cleaning for complex pool shapes. That makes the B1 a plausible cordless candidate when submerged floor, wall or waterline cleaning is the task, but the mode list does not promise equal coverage or one-cycle completion in every pool. The manual’s FAQ says the unit can climb steps, drains and shallow-water areas, and the product page also mentions steps and slopes. Neither supplies a minimum step or ledge depth, a qualified depth range or a guarantee for a 13-inch ledge. The B1 therefore does not meet this finder’s depth-qualified step requirement. It is not a floating-debris surface skimmer; WYBOT lists the F1 as a separate product, so its surface-cleaning claims should not be transferred to the B1.

App use is for setup outside the water

WYBOT lists Bluetooth/app control. The B1 manual specifies Bluetooth in the 2.4 GHz frequency range and says the phone connects to the robot only while it is out of the water; it also directs users to change cleaning modes through the app when the robot is out. That supports app-based configuration, not live underwater steering, Wi-Fi networking or a promise that every phone will pair. Confirm the app and phone requirements before relying on remote functions.

Filter access and the contents question

The product page lists a 180-micron single large cartridge. The manual also gives a 180-micron filtration figure, shows a filter basket under the top cover and instructs the owner to rinse it after use. Its caution text refers to cleaning the basket and an ultra-fine filter, while the illustrated packing list simply says “Filters x 1”; it does not identify a separate extra-kit part number or a second in-box filter set. The exact evidence therefore does not establish the finder’s requested included ultra-fine kit. Check the specific carton and consumables for the exact finish SKU instead of treating a maintenance reference or a separately sold part as proof of inclusion.

Setup, maintenance and retrieval details

The manual says to charge fully before first use, keep the charging port dry and charge at least 3 metres from the pool using a GFCI- or ELI-protected outlet. Do not run it with the pool filtration system operating. The manual lists pH 7.0–7.8, chlorine up to 4 mg/L, salt up to 5,000 ppm and water temperature 41–95°F; low battery may reduce duration and coverage. It says the cleaner moves to a wall edge when a cycle ends or the battery is low and shows a hook for removal, not a guaranteed pickup point in every pool.

Model identity and recall checks

The B1 page and the linked current B1 manual both identify model OS600, but the manual does not print the three retail WYUS-B1 finish suffixes. The evidence supports one B1/OS600 assessment with those exact page-listed finish variants; it does not support transferring specifications from the separate C1, C2 or B1-and-F1 bundle rows. The manufacturer page lists a one-year warranty; check the written terms, seller and exact label before ordering.

The official CPSC notice located in this research describes a recall of Osprey 700 Max models WY3312MAX/WY100MAX and S1 model WY200. Those are not the B1 finish codes, but the saved direct request for the notice returned HTTP 403 and the available documents do not establish a complete recall-status bridge for these B1 SKUs. This review makes no safety-clearance claim; compare the exact model and serial label with current CPSC and WYBOT information.

Bottom line

The WYBOT B1 is worth comparing for cordless floor, wall or waterline work when its selectable modes and setup restrictions fit the pool. The product-page area and depth claims do not fully align with the linked model manual, the manual does not give a pool-length rating or the finder’s minimum step depth, and a separate included ultra-fine kit is not established. Verify the above-ground/surface fit, exact SKU, water depth, box contents, app requirements, warranty terms and recall information before purchase. No price, stock figure, customer review, independent performance test or personal-use result is used here.
